تمت دراسة علاقة الطول و الوزن لنوعين من أسماك عائلة الحفار, التي تنتمي لمصايد المملكة العربية السعودية بساحل البحر الأحمر, التي تعيش على عمق 0.5 - 1 مترا ببيئية نباتات الشورى.
و لقد تم حساب الثابت (a) و معامل الانحدار (b) للمعادلة (W = a Lb) من خلال استخدام اللوغاريثم العشري لقياسات الوزن و الطول لنوعي الأسماك.
و لقد وجد أن قيمة المعامل (b) تساوي (2.77) لأسماك حفار الكارنتين (الحفار), و تساوي (3.08) للحفار ثنائي الخطوط (الرباق).
كما تم حسابهما لنوعي الأسماك بشكل عام و للأسماك المذكرة و المؤنثة بشكل خاص.
و كذلك تم قياس المعاملين للأسماك الصغيرة لأسماك حفار الكارنتين (الحفار).

08 for the two bar sea bream, Acanthopagrus bifasciatus.
The length-weight relationships for the males and females of both spe-cies and that for the juvenile karanteen sea bream are discussed in this paper.
