Abstract AR
Abstract EN
Despite the large number of scientific reports describing the effect of electromagnetic fields on cellular level and on the whole animal, still there is little understanding of the exact nature of inter-action between electromagnetic field and bio-systems.
Electro-magnetic field of 60 Hz, and field strength of 10 kV / m was applied for 2 weeks on whole Swiss Albino mice to investigate whether ex-posure to electromagnetic field in the range of 10 kV/m induced sus-pension of proteins in different lobes of mice brain.
The field strength applied showed an increase in the total protein concentrations of each lobe of mice brain sacrified directly after exposure.
The observed change was reversible when the pre-exposed animals were left outside the field for 4 weeks.
It is assumed that the increase in protein con-centrations was due to synthesis of stress proteins, which may have played a protective role against electromagnetic exposure.
