Abstract EN

This study aimed to detect the educational function of the family in Islam, and explain the changes that occurred on that function.

To achieve that purpose the researcher divided this study into three sections.

This study concluded that the educational function of the Muslims family is the responsibility of parents for preparing their children in preparation integrated in all aspects of their personalities: spiritually, physically, mentally, psychologically, and socially.

and this function may have seen a shift in the contemporary world, it has a manifestations of multiple; as a result of internal family reasons, and social changes, foreign, and exotic.

This study provided a set of steps that contribute to the return of the family to carry out educational function assigned to it.
