English Abstract

Six Diethylenetriamide podands (45-50) have been synthesized by simple one step reaction.

Three of them have not been reported.

Using conductometric techniques, the complexation of these compounds toward some transition and alkali metal ions (Pb+2,Zn+2,Cu+2, Cd+2,Hg+2, Co+2, K+,Na+,Li+) have been studied in acetonitrile at 25 Cº, to determine stoichiometry and stability constants.

Diethylenetriamide podands (45-50) were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and Elemental analysis.

Biological activity and antioxidant effects of the prepared podands were investigated.
