تتأثر المياه الساحلية لمدينة الإسكندرية بدرجة كبيرة بالملوثات القادمة من مصرف العموم، الذي يصب المتدفقات الزراعية و الصناعية و الأهلية غير المعالجة في خليج المكس، و أيضا بالصرف الصحي الذي يصرف مياه صرف معالجة جزئيا في البحر الأبيض.
لذلك أجريت هذه الدراسة لتقدير تأثير مياه الصرف على ساحل الإسكندرية خاصة أمام مصب قايتباي، و مصرف العموم، حيث تم خلال عام 1966م عمل خمس قطاعات عمودية على الساحل، (27 محطة)، غطت المنطقة الساحلية ما بين العجمي و رأس خليج أبو قير.
أيضا تم أخذ قياس للتيارات البحرية بواسطة جهاز قياس التيارات، و استخدام عدد 2 طوافة لتتبع مسار التيارات السطحية المتولدة من شدة الرياح. من خلال تحليل هذه القياسات، تم حساب معاملي التشتت أمام الإسكندرية، و تم تطبيق و تحقيق النموذج الرياضي للتنبؤ بشكل سريان و تركيز الملوثات أمام ساحل الإسكندرية.
Abstract EN
During December 1996, 27 sampling stations were explored along the coastal zone in front of Alexandria situated between El- Agamy beach in the West and Abu-Qir headland in the East.
Also, current measurements have been obtained by using current meter and Drougs.
The dispersion coefficient Kx and Ky of water during the time of measurements in front of Alexandria were calculated.
A predictive model based on the equations described by Bonazountas (1987) was applied to estimate initial dilution and wastewater field in front of Alexandria coastal zone.
