English Abstract
The aim of this study to answer the question, why does the average standard Arabic speaker most often fails to assign correct case assignment to nominals in his 1 her utterances .It is shown that two current theories pertinent to the topic of them, namely, the minimalist program and distributed morphology can help in providing in plausible answer to this question.
After analyzing the facts of morphological case as distinct from syntactic case.
The study conclude that morphological case assignment is highly intricate.
Moreover it is shown that morphological case assignment has little to do with meaning.
Therefore, the user find it difficult to use correct case marking.
