استخدمت التراكيز الملحية (17% , 15 , 10 , 9 , 8 , 7 , 5 , 3 , 1.5) من كلوريد الصوديوم في اختبار تحمل إصبعيات الكارب العشبي Ctenopharyngodon idella و لوحظ أن التركيز القاتل كان 9 % و كان نصف الزمن المميت 48 ساعة بينما بقيت جميع الإصبعيات عند التركيز 8 % خلال فترة التجربة (168ساعة).

15, 17 %o) of NaCl have been used to test the salinity tolerance of grass carp fingerlings Ctenopharyngodon idella.
It has been found that salinity 9 % 0 was lethal to the fingerlings, (Ltjo 48h), while all the fingerlings survived salinity 8 %0 during the experimental period (168h.).
the present study showed that f'uigerlings can survive in salinity as higher as 8 % 0.
