Abstract EN

Neurocysticercosis is a serious zoonotic diseas, encountered worldwide, caused by the larval stage of Taenia solium.

Due to the difficulties facing scientists to study the biological, histological and immunological effects of these larvae on the human brain, other cestodes with more or less similar larvae (Taenia crassiceps) were used.

In brain infected mice, Th1 predominant cytokines were significantly detected.
