باستخدام الترانسيوسون Tn5 تم الحصول على 21 طافر للحامض الأميني سيستين أو ميثيونين و 13 طافر للحامض الأميني ميثيونين في بكتريا سينورايزوبيوم مليلوتي السلالة Rmd201.؟ لقد أكد ارتباط العوز الغذائي للطافر مع Tn5 إدخال Tn5 واحد إلى DNA البكتريا.
بينت الدراسة أن كل الطافرات كان لها قابلية الارتداد إلى الوضع الطبيعي و كانت الطفرات متشابهة للسلالة الأبوية في إنتاج بعض المواد السطح خلوية و كذلك في استغلال بعض السكريات و الأحماض ثنائية الكربوكسيل.
Abstract EN
Random 'l‘n5 mutagenesis produced 2l cysteine/methionine and 13 methionine au.'otrophic mutants of‘ Sinorliiznbimn me / 1' / or / ' strain Rmd20l.
Linkage of Tn5 to auxotroph indicated that each mutant had a single 'l‘n5 insertion.
All auxotroph showed spontaneous reversion to prototrophy and they resembled the parental strain in production ofcell surface molecule and utilization of sugars and dicarboxylic acid.
