Abstract AR
(IEEE 1451 TEDS, data sheets transducers electronic).
Abstract EN
A smart grid uses digital technology to improve the power system reliability, security, and efficiency.
These advanced technologies are playing a very important role in regulating the network voltages and enhancing voltage stability of the power system by keeping the bus voltage magnitudes within acceptable limits.
In this paper, we have shown how wireless sensor networks can be used for various applications in power systems.
Nowadays, research efforts are paid to fuse heterogeneous data from sensors in order to provide outputs, which are more informative than the original data from particular sensors.
Reliable data are essential to be able to fuse sensor data in sensor fusion system.
This paper focuses on the determination of the output of the most relevant sensor when heterogeneous sensors are used for measuring the processes related to the bus voltages of the electric network.
A model for a real-time implementation of heterogeneous sensor networks is developed based on the IEEE 1451 TEDS (transducers electronic data sheets) standard.
The preliminary results shown, using Matlab 2010 signal processing tool box, confirm that the proposed model can be used in the real-time regime and can help in the reduction of the overall system computational cost.
