Abstract EN

Litigant interrogation is considered one of the investigation procedures that the court uses to question the defendant about certain events, the goal of which is to obtain a confession from the litigant.

Therefore, interrogation is very connected to confession.

Another goal might be obtaining a clarification concerning the lawsuit.

Many legislations structured interrogation within the law of probation and set for it a special legal system wherein it stated the procedures to be followed and its consequences, as the case with the Egyptian and the Iraqi legislation.

But the Jordanian legislator pointed to that within the civil procedure law through one single text without structuring the necessary actions and the possible consequences.

So, in this study the researcher sheds light on this topic through reviewing the Jordanian law and judicial system.
