Applications of fractal dimension

Today the method of determining the dimension is being applied to many kinds of observations, especially to time series in physics, engineering, and in fields as far apart as meteorology and neurophysiology.

This paper has selectively surveyed some recent work in the vast and rapidly growing area on the behavior of the fractal dimension.We used the concept of dimension to distinguish between random noise and chaos, also to determine the order of Non-Linear Auto-regressive Model, finally it used to test the residuals of linear models
