Abstract AR

Abstract EN

-Solution blending, including compositional quenching, gives structural plastics with substantially better properties than can be achieved by conventional blending techniques.

Example systems include compatible blends of HDPE with UHMW– HDPE, super high impact polystyrene, and impact modified polypropylene.

The incremental capital and operating costs of a tight solvent recovery system will be cheaper than mechani cal compounding when the production volume is large or when incorporat ed into polymerization processes that already includes recycle of solvents or liquid monomers
