بينت معظم نماذج تنبؤ قوة الإشارة اللاسلكية على أساس مجموعة من القياسات التي أجريت في المناخات المعتدلة.
و لإختبار انطباق النماذج الحالية على قوة الإشارة في البيئات الصحراوية الرطبة و الساخنة قمنا بجمع عد كبير من قراءات قوة الإشارة في المنطقة الشرقية من المملكة العربية السعودية، التي تعتبر منطقة صحراوية ذات مناخ ساخن و رطب بسبب قربها من الخليج العربي. و قد تم قياس قوة الإشارة حول ثلاث محطات راديو واقعة في مناطق رأس تنورة، و أبقيق و الظهران.
و لقد استخدمت نتائج هذه القراءات في تطوير أنموذج جديد للتنبؤ بخسارة الطريق، و قوة الإشارة، و وضع اقتراحات لتصحيح النماذج المستخدمة حاليا.
و في أثناء حملتنا لجمع قراءات قوة الإشارة تبين وجود قراءات شاذة تم فحصها في ضوء توصيات أي تي يو.
Abstract EN
Field measurements on radio propagation, taken in climates and environments quite distinct from those existing in the hot and humid climate that exists in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, which has desert terrain, form the basis of most of the models.
To test the validity of some of these models, a measurement campaign was undertaken.
Measurements were made in areas surrounding three radio base stations—Ras Tanura, Abqaiq, and Dhahran, which lie close to the sea on one side and the desert on the other.
The measurement results are used to propose adjustment or correction factors to the considered models.
The presence of anomalous propagation was discovered during the measurement campaign.
Additional measurements were made to confirm this phenomenon and learn more about it.
The measurements results were examined in the light of ITU Recommendations.
