Abstract AR
Abstract EN
This study takes into account the higher approximations boundary-layer terms in an opposed mixed convection problem along a vertical flat-plate.
The method is that of the matched asymptotic expansions with two different asymptotic sequences.
The results show that the effect of these additional terms in the case of a natural convection dominated flow arises just after the first term due to the forced convection mode and should not be ignored.
At high Grashof numbers the results are those for the simple mixed convection boundary layer.
