الدراسة خاصة بانتقال الحرارة بالحمل الحراري الحر داخل وعاء مستطيل القطع بواسطة سخان محدود الأبعاد (ارتفاع / طول الضلع = 0.125) مثبت على أحد الأوجه بينما السطح القابل عند درجة حرارة منخفضة و ثابتة.
تم حل معادلات بقاء الطاقة و الحركة و الكتلة في اتجاهين في حالة التغير مع الزمن بالطرق العددية و ذلك عند زوايا ميل تتغير بين صفر و 180 درجة مع الأفقي.
أوضحت النتائج أن رقم نوسلت المحلي تنخفض قيمته كلما زادت المسافة من حافة السخان عند ثبات رقم رالى، و كذلك اعتماد كل من خطوط درجة الحرارة الثابتة و التدفق على زاوية الميل و لقد تم توضيح تغير كل من رقم نوسلت و رالى و زاوية الميل الدراسة تغطي المدى لرقم رالى من (10)3 إلى (10)6.
