Abstract AR

Abstract EN

The plant growth is greatly affected by chemical, physical and biological factors.

It is found that the pH of the soil is of great importance mainly in the processes of oxidation and hydrolysis of iron pyrite in colliery spoil which produces a substrate with low pH.

Leaf and spoil analyses were carried out.

Spoil pH was also determined.

From correlation analysis it was found that manganese is greater than the other elements studied.

A relationship between pH and the spoil solution and leaf content showed that aluminium and zinc and leaf content relationship is at lesser degree than that of manganese.
