English Abstract

This research hypothesizes that, Hughes visions are related to the society of black people.

And also Hughes visions are part of the American dreams.

Dream defines as thoughts passing through the mind when we are asleep.

Day dreaming is classified as a level of consciousness between sleep and wake-fullness.

It occurs during our waking hours when we let our imagination carries us away.

Prophetic dreams also referred to as precognitive or psychic dreams that seemingly foretell the future.

Hughes criticized the position of the Negro in the United States in his dreams.

He criticized the racial injustice and suggested a hopeful outlook for the future.

His optimistic vision of the future and confidence in the future are evident in his poetry.

Hughes longs for acceptance in America a country that has denied his rights for so long.

His prediction is that Black are the same as white Americans.

Hughes clarifies an American dream, a hope for a better future, and the dream of equality.
