English Abstract
The objective of this study is to determine the effect of parity on plasma fibrinogen level in normal pregnant Sudanese women at 37-42 weeks of gestation and the level of CRP and TWBCs.
Study population is normal term pregnant women aged 18-45 years who delivered normally with no previous obstetric complications and all previous deliveries were spontaneous, normal term and uneventful.
Maternal plasma fibrinogen levels were determined from 250 women.
Their mean age was 30 ± 12 years.
According to the parity, plasma fibrinogen levels means in the control, primipara, multipara, grand multipara and great grand multipara groups 3.68 ± 0.6, 4.49± 0.5, 2.54 ± 0.7, 2.44 ± 0.8 and 2.04±0.7 g / L, respectively.
CRP levels means, blew 5 ± 0.0, 5.54 ± 0.3, 6.18 ± 0.7, 6.24 ±0.2 and 7.14 ± 0.3 mg / L, respectively.
TWBCs levels mean 5.370 ± 1.725, 6.134 ± 1.718, 5.954 ± 1.663, 5.974 ± 1.926 and 5.852 ± 1.544 cumm, respectively.
It is clear that the maternal plasma fibrinogen levels decrease when the parity increase, CRP level increase when parity increase and there is no significant difference in the TWBCs level with parity.
The levels of fibrinogen and CRP are affected by the delivery interval with slight increase in fibrinogen and normal CRP when the delivery interval = 2 years, so interval 2 years is important to the pregnant health and these findings are in agreement with the ALLA talk in the Quran : (و الوالدات يرضعن أولادهن حولين كاملين لمن أراد أن يتم الرضاعة) [البقرة : 233] (و وصينا الإنسان بوالديه حملته أمه و هنا على وهن و فصاله في عامين أن اشكر لي و لوالديك إلي المصير) [لقمان 14]
