English Abstract

This study is implemented in the field of Machine Translation (MT) as one of the modern tools that has been used to help at this time of globalization and the huge knowledge. This research investigates the capability of MT as one of the modern tools that has been available in a form of programs, which have been designed for this purpose.

These programs are found commercially or free, especially online on the different websites, to help people to translate the information in a fast way with less cost.

The descriptive method is used in the study, to describe, analyze and compare the data. This study is done by comparing two texts (Legal and Medical), in order to see if there are differences in the translation, especially, in the lexical semantic outputs. The study is done by using Google Translate (GT) online program a modified and developed one, which has used the statistical system instead of the language-based rule system, the system that had been used before in the previous programs.

The previous programs show some difficulties especially when translating into and from Arabic Language.

The results of the data show that, there are some problems concerning the lexical semantic outputs in the two texts, when using GT in translating from English into Arabic.

The study also finds that these problems vary; the problems in the medical are less than those found in the legal.

The study indicates that the future of Machine Translation could be better and improved by conducting further studies and developments.

The study also recommends that the translation from and into Arabic can be done by using machine translation to reach the huge knowledge that has been written in different languages and simultaneously spread the Arabic culture globally.
