English Abstract

The main objective of this study is to build a geometric network within a GIS model concerning the electrical activity in Elobied Town.

One of the objectives of the study is to evaluate the potentiality of the developed models to offer solutions for real world problems concerning electrical activity in the study area.

The primary data used in this study is a set of analog documents.

This includes maps, charts, and text documents.

In fact the lack of data and information was a real problem facing the author while this research work was under process.

The electrical network in Elobied town (Sudan) is suffering from lack of well defined system.

Many irregulariting are inherited in the electrical activity in that town is suffering to achieve objectives of the study various procedures have been applied to the test data.

This includes a data collection, data management, electrical network building and assessment.

The study came to the conclusion that the developed GIS model with the geometric network model for the study area was found to be quite useful in handling and managing the electrical a activities in the study area.

As test in the present study, the network design and development process led to strong base for a complete electrical GIS system for Elobied Town.

The ground truth checks show that the developed models meet the research objectives special the fulfillment of electrical flow management.

The GIS model as well as the geometric network has been subjected to different query models to evaluate their potentiality for meeting the essential requirements for electrical engineers, call center and customers.

The models show great flexibility and powerful management facilities in producing solutions for real world problems concerning the electrical services and activities, such as potential site selection, electrical emergency services and the electrical flow management.

The models are found to be able to answer frequently asked questions the solution themselves can be modeled in digital or analog thematic layers, charts tabular data and text documents.
