English Abstract
-This study in conducted at Tayba center for home less adolescents Boys to investigate the blood level of lead and hemoglobin of Benzene and Selesion sniffers and healthy individuals at in Khartoum state, Sudan during 2007. The age of the studied groups 7-18 and the control were at the same age.
Selesion sniffer were 14 the sniffer and the benzene sniffer were 8.
Results of the study indicated that the level of blood lead of the sniffer (36.4 µg/dl) is highly significant (P<0.01) compared to that of control group (9.8 µg/dl) Pb correlation is negatively correlated with Hb (r=-0.813**) and positively correlated with age (r=+0.465**). Result of this study concluded that almost all of the sniffers reached the toxic level. Of lead and this may be reflected with the symptoms and signs reported for them.
