ينتشر نوع استاكس شبيه شمبري (الفصيلة الشفوية) انتشارا كبيرا في جنوب غرب المملكة العربية السعودية.
لم يتم فحص هذا النوع مسبقا لمعرفة محتواه من المكونات الكيميائية.
في هذا البحث أدى الفصل الكروماتوجرافي لخلاصة هذا النبات إلى فصل المكونات التالية : بيتاسيتواستيرول، و استجما استيرول، كما تم التعرف على بعض الأحماض الدهنية، حمض 2-هيدروكسي-4-فينايل بيوتانويك، حمض سيرنجك، حمض فانيليك، حمض أيزوفيريوليك، حمض باراكوماريك، و ذلك باستخدام التحليل الكروماتوجرافي الغازي المقترن بطيف الكتلة، بالإضافة إلى اثنين من الفلافونويدات، و هما 4'، 5-داي هيدروكسي -6، 7، 8-تراي ميثوكسي فلافون 4، 5-داي هيدروكسي -3، 6، 7، 8- تترا ميثوكسي فلافون، تم التعرف على بنائهما باستخدام طيف الرنين النووي للبروتون بالإضافة إلى طيف الكتلة.

Stachys sp.
aff.
schimperi (family Labiatae) is a widespread species in the south west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This plant species has not been investigated previously for its chemical constituents.
Chromatographic separation of its extract afforded β-sitosterol and stigmasterol.
Additionally, some fatty acids, 2-hydroxy-4-phenylbutanoic acid, syringic acid, vanillic acid, isoferulic acid and p-coumaric acid were identified by GC/MS technique.
In addition to two flavonoids; 4’, 5-dihydroxy-6, 7, 8-trimethoxyflavone and 4’,5-dihydroxy- 3, 6, 7, 8-tetramethoxyflavone, were identified by the proton NMR and the MS spectra.
