English Abstract
Modern technology is growing fast and the need for renovation of hospitals to adapt new technological equipments is becoming amust. The new method I established in determining the required number of beds at Omdurman hospital base on the disease affection to population within the catchments areas of the hospital and the estimation of the future population growth that will be affected bydiseases and the future hospitals that will be built in the future within the area and the governmental medical programs to controld is eases in Omdurman city. The method is based on population estimation of 50 years ahead, considering population growth, future hospitals and governmental medical programs.
Out of the 50 years estimation half population will be considered and then half of the other half will be considered for future hospitals and the other remaining will be absorbed by the governmental medical programs. A new hospital is suggested within the premises of the Omdurman hospital to absorb the surplus of patients from Omdurman hospital. The design of this new hospital depends on the results of the calculations resulting from the use of my invented method of calculations. Rehabilitation is proposed for the old buildings within the hospital and an overhead link path is proposed to facilitate the circulation between all sections of the old hospitals.
