Abstract EN

The study aims to clarify the judgment in Islam of facing the Ka’ba while praying as one of the requisites unanimously agreed upon by the Muslim Imams.

Before the invention of the compass and other technological devices, the Muslim scholars used to locate the direction of Ka'abah through deduction.

However, now with the availability of these devices some of the scholars try to change the direction of qiblah for some old mosques on grounds that they don't accurately face the Ka’ba.

This study discusses the judgment of changing the qiblah of the old mosques in light of the modem technological instruments.
