Teaching tasks of the student teachers as perceived by physical education teachers

Abstract EN

This study aims at determining the most important teaching tasks of the physical education student teachers as perceived by cooperating teachers in public schools in A1-Karak city.

The study sample consisted of all physical education teachers (141).

A special instrument was constructed by the researcher to investigate the purpose of the study.

The validity and reliability ofthe instrument were inspected.

The results of the study indicated that the most important teaching tasks are related to the lesson implementation tasks (mean = 4,46)م followed by planning for instructional position tasks (mean = 4.32).

Tasks related to class management in the third rank (mean = 4.23).

and evaluation tasks came at the end (mean = 4.08).

^here was a si^ificant difference in the lesson impl^entation dimension on the experience variable in favor of teachers who ha^e teaching experience less than 5إ) years (f= .026), and in the class management dimension on the education 1©¥لء variable in favor ofteachers who have BA degrees (f = .038).

Also؛ there was a significant difference in: the lesson implementation dimension, the evaluation dimension, and the instrument as a whole on the school stage variable in favor of teachers who are leaching both school stages (primary and seconda^), (Implementation f= .009), (evaluation f= .044), (instrument as a vvholef^.0319).
