Pulmonary agenesis : a case report with review of literature

Congenital pulmonary agenesis is a rare condition which poses diagnostic difficulties.

More than 50 % of these patients die before the first five years of life.

Few patients may remain asymptomatic throughout their life.

We report a case of a two month old male infant with right pulmonary agenesis who presented with severe respiratory distress in whom a diagnosis was made following computed tomography of the chest.
