Abstract FRE
Close to a half century already, Soljenitsyne denounced the doctors refusing to say the truth to the patients.
Today, still, doctors and medicine are in faintness when it is a question of announcing a fatal diagnosis, cancer mainly.
To announce the bad news is a need.
It is the patient's right.
The advertisement can be made to the family if the patient is agreeing or in the event of severe and irreversible attack.
One announces by successive stages, the patient must realize gradually what arrives to him.
It can thus adapt to the new reality.
The possible reactions following the advertisement are: acceptance (reaction attends), despair, refusal, ambivalence and refusal to reveal the diagnosis.
To know the diagnosis makes it possible to the patient to reinforce his fight against the disease and makes it possible, thus, to reinforce the relation doctor-patient.
