In the last decades the world became highly interested in the question of quality (perfection) and how to secure it.

Companies started to focus on such issue to attain the competitive advantage that can be realized only through comprehensive perfection.

Educational institutes including universities are not beyond the events of business environment, and inevitably they have to think over their educational policies and take actions that promote the perfection of educational process and at the same time increase the concordance of their output in various fields of specialization with requirement of labor market in one side, and reconciliation of such output with students prospect and their future inspiration, from another side.

The purpose of this research is to understand the concept of academic accreditation as it has taken the entire attention of academic researchers as one of the required style of quality and its great role in promoting the quality and perfection of high education.

Here the research designs three dimensions to discusses academic accreditation and its role in ameliorating university performance.

The first dimension reviews an introduction showing the priorities of adopting academic accreditation in universities as well as the scientific methodology used in this research to realize planed objectives.

The second dimension presents the nature of academic accreditation, its systems, institutes and its application standards.

The third dimension figures out the important reached conclusions and put forward suggestions such as the following : 1.

Emphasizing the necessity of academic accreditation in Arab universities.

2.

Reappraising the policies of high education to be fit for the standards of academic accreditation.

Following up international changes so as to maintain requirements of perfection in the educational process.
