Abstract EN

Superiority of one of the implant systems on the other is based on the overall success of that system to retain osseointegrated in the jaw bone.

As for many years the Nobelpharma implant system has shown its success based on clinical and laboratorical investigations.

By the aid of the finite element analysis this study aimed to investigate the performance of five of the implant systems available in the market from the stress distribution point of view.

The stresses were monitored at the cortical bone/ implant interface, and it was found that the Nobelpharma thread showed the least stress concentration followed by an approximate value obtained by the Degussa implant.

Then came the Core-Vent, Micro-Vent and lastly the ITI thread which show relatively high stress values when compared with the Nobelpharma and Degussa threads.
