Abstract EN
Calasept is a material which is used to induce apexification.
Since Iraq is under embargo and calasept Is not available, this study has been done to induce apexificaton by using Calcium hydroxide powder .The effect of calcium hydroxide powder treatments and apical diameter on the time of Apexification and type of apical barrier was studied in 93 immature permanent incisors .The apical diameter ranged from 1-4 mm The root canals were debrided before receiving Calcium hydroxide treatment (Calcium hydroxide powder + Camphorated mono cholorophenol + Barium Sulphate) paste.
An apical barrier developed in 100% of the teeth and the time of apexificaton ranged from 3-18 months
