Abstract EN
The transverse strength and deflection of repaired acrylic specimens with cold cure resin were measured with a three – point bending test.
Three repair joint designs were studied : butt joint, 45°upward flaring and 45° downward flaring joint.
The strength of butt joint repair was significantly lower than 45°bevel joint.
There was no significant difference in the deflection at break among repaired groups.
The results of the study indicated that the profile of repair joint plays an important role in the strength of repair.
