Demands and dental needs were assessed in a sample of 198 children attending the department of Pedodontics, college of dentistry for the first time.
Tooth ache and check-up accounted for the most frequent overall dental complaint.
98.9 % of children needed dental treatment because of dental caries, 100% needed periodontal treatment, 15.2 % needed dental treatment because of traumatic dental injury and 108 cases needed orthodontic treatment.
