تم تميع 60 عينة دجاج و كانت من جلد الرقبة و عضلات المجمع من دجاج التسمين و تم فحصهم لمعرفة وجود MRSA و ذلك باستخدام اختبار الحساسية و تقنية PCR.

و بعد إجراء الفحص البكتريولوجي للعينات كانت نسبة وجود ميكروب المكور العنقودي الذهبي 25% (15/60) و كانت جميعهم المعزولات حساسة لكل من vancomycin, Gentamicin, trimethoprim/ sulphamethoxazole، بينما كانت نسبة مقاومة المعزولات ل methicillin (73,3%) و وجد نسب مختلفة للمقاومة لكل من erythromycin, tetracycline, penicillin, ampicillin, sulbactam/ampicillin, amoxicillin/clavulinic acid, chloramphenicol and ciprofloxacin، وجد أن 20% (3/15) من المعزولات كانت إيجابية لوجود mecA gene باستخدام PCR.

و أيضا كان كلهم مقاوم لعدة مجموعات من المضادات الحيوية.

Abstract EN

Sixty chicken specimens from broiler neck skin and vent muscles were examined for MRSA by disc diffusion test and conventional PCR.

Fifteen out of sixty (25 %) specimens were positive for S.

Aureus by bacteriological examination for specimens.

All isolates were sensitive to vancomycin, Gentamicin, trimethoprim / sulphamethoxazole..

Mean while, 73.3 % of isolates were methicillin resistant .There was variable resistance to erythromycin, tetracycline, penicillin, ampicillin, sulbactam / ampicillin, amoxicillin / clavulinic acid, chloramphenicol and ciprofloxacin.

Only 3 / 15 (20 %) isolates were MRSA by PCR and showed mecA gene and all of them were multidrug resistant to > 3 groups of antibiotics.
