يقدم هذا البحث قائمة بالحيوانات الثديية في دولة الكويت بناءا على مواد بحثية منشورة، اتصالات شخصية، الشبكة العنكبوتية الكويتية، مدونات الكويت، و ملاحظات الباحث.
تم تسجيل خمسة و عشرين نوعا من الثدييات بالإضافة إلى أربعة غير شائعة الوجود أو نادرة الزيارة للمنطقة، بينما ستة كانت موجودة في الماضي و اثنين مشكوك في مصدرها.
يمكن أن تساعد هذه القائمة الراغبين في إعادة أعمار الصحراء، و إدخال الحيوانات في مشاريع المحميات الكويتية.
Abstract EN
An annotated checklist of the mammals of Kuwait is presented, based on the literature, personal communications, a Kuwait website and a blog and the author’s observations.
Twenty five species occur, a further four are uncommon or rare visitors, six used to occur whilst another two are of doubtful provenance.
This list should assist those planning desert rehabilitation, animal reintroduction and protected area projects in Kuwait.
