إن الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو تحسين فهم الخصائص المميزة للعاملين في مجال خزن و استرجاع المعلومات في العالم العربي و الإحاطة بالمسائل المتعلقة بذلك.

و للقيام بهذه الدراسة تلقى المؤلف الدعم من قسم المكتبات و المعلومات في جامعة ملايا و كذلك عميد المكتبيين في فلسطين، مع مساهمة من قبل 5 إلى 7 جمعيات مهنية أخرى، إلى جانب توجيهات من هيئة تدريس علم الحاسوب و تقنية المعلومات في جامعة ملايا.

English Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve understanding of the characteristics of information storage and retrieval (IS / IR) workers in Arab world, and the surrounding contextual issues.

In conducting this study, the authors received support from the library and information science department niversity and the major of librarians in Palestine, collaboration from five to seven other professional societies, and guidance from the faculty of computer science and information technology in Malaya university.
