Abstract EN

A survey for insect predators and parasitoids in Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar region was conducted during the period March, 1996 until February, 1997.

The predators collected inccluded 23 specimens which were completely identified to the species, and 20 specimens to the genus.

All of them belong to 22 families and 8 orders.

The parasitoids collected, on the other hand, included 2 specimens, which were identified to the species and 8 specimens to the genus.

The parasitoids belonged to 7 families and 2 orders.

The data obtained revealed that five predators namely, Cydonia nilotica Muls., Calidomantis savignyi (Saussure), Anthocoris sp., Paederus sp.

and Diorodiplosis sp.

represent a new record for Libya.
