In the present study twelve species of natural enemies were recorded on colonies of pomegranate aphid, Aphis punicae Passerini at ElBeida region, Libya, including eleven species of predators, seven species belonging to the family Coccinellidae and one species to each of the families Anthocoridae, Syrphidae, Cecidomyiidae and Chrysopidae, in addition to a parasitoid wasp of the family Aphidiidae.

The natural enemies occurred during two periods, the first was from late April to mid June 1999, and the second was from mid September to early November, 1999.

The species, Coccinella novemnotata H., Scymnus syriacus Mars, Scymnus nubilus Muls., Syrphus corollae Fab.

and Aphidius sp.

occurred for long periods, which ranged between 10-12 weeks.
