تركز الدراسة الحالية على فعل كلام الاعتذار بين المتعلمين المتقدمين العراقيين للغة الانكليزية من خلال دراسة تعابير الاعتذار التي تبديها العينة, سيدرس الباحث بصورة رئيسة ما إذا كانت هناك اختلافات تذكر بين الذكور و الإناث.
سيتم كذلك تحليل استجابات العينة وفقا للمتغيرات وفقا للمتغيرات الآتية : نوع الاعتذار و نوع العنف و علاقة الجنسين بين المتلقي و المتكلم.
Abstract EN
The present study focuses on the speech act of apologizing among Iraqi advanced learners of English.
Within the investigation of the apologetic expressions provided by the subjects, the researcher will mainly study if any differences between males and females exist.
The responses of the subjects will be further analyzed according to the following variables : type of apology, type of offence, and sex relationship between hearer and speaker.
