لا يزال الجدل العلمي قائما حول الآلية التي تفقد فيها المادة جزءا من سطحها عند قذفها بجسيمات صلبة.

و يشكل هذا البحث مساهمة متواضعة لإلقاء المزيد من الضوء على الموضوع.

لقد أظهرت النتائج أنه عند تعرض سطح المادة المطاوعة للقذف بجسيمات صلبة فإن هذا السطح يبدأ بتجميع انفعال لدن.

و عند وصول الانفعال إلى الحد الحرج ينفصل جزء من مادة السطح مما يؤدي إلى نقصان الوزن.

Abstract EN

When a ductile surface is impinged by solid particles, part of its material will be eroded, the mechanism by which surface material wears out of the surface in this case is still not fully understood.

This paper is a contribution to shed more light on the subject.

Results suggest that when a ductile material is impinged by a solid erodant it starts to accumulate plastic strain, when this strain reaches a critical limit part of the material detaches from the surface causing mass loss.
