Abstract EN

The effect of solar eclipse on all types of chromatid as well as chromosomal aberrations was studied .

Age groups showed significant effects at (p<0.01) on all types of aberration males were hignhcr than females, also age significantly affected at (p<0.01) all types of sperm abnormalities.

No filial generations were obtained.

During the study of sections obtained from skin, ears and eyes, an increasing number of inflammatory and white blood cells was observed.

Females were more sensitive than males and no change has been observed in epidermis and melanin cells in males.

Cytoplasmic vaculization in retina was also observed.

Attention is drawn for the need to improve public awareness of direct sunlight risks and of the potential for eye injury from sunlight as well as to improve the standard for the quality of sunglasses.
