Abstract EN

This study aims at specifying the student's motivations when enrolling in Jordanian private universities from their point of view.

In addition, it was designed to explore the effect of sex, nationality, type of college, and level of study in students' classification of these motivations.

The sample consisted of (207) maie and female students selected by items developed to collect classified random method.

A questionnaire consists of (20) items and students were asked to select one choice out of four to show the degree of an item, the data was analysed by the use of means, t-tests, and One-Way analysis of veriance.

The study showed that the motivations of enrollment vary.

According to its importance, the students classified these motivations as follows: (1) Academic and Knowledge, (2) Social (3) Private, and (4)Economic.

Furthermore, the results showed that there were no significant effects attributed to sex, nationality, and type of college affecting students' classification of their motivations.

But, the level of study was statistically significant regarding the economic motivations.
