لقد اكتشفت في السنوات القليلة الماضية عدة أنواع من الفيروسات، و بالإضافة إلى ذلك فإن بعض الفيروسات المعروفة قد أعادت انبثاقها إما بنفس الصورة المرضية أو بصورة مرضية جديدة و كلا النوعين من الفيروسات التي عادت للظهور و بدت جديدة مثل فيروس متلازمة العوز المناعة المكتسبة و هانتا فيرس (Hanta) و فيروس جدري القرود و فيروس الدنجيج و فيروس الأنفلونزا-و الورم اللحمي كابوس المتلازم لمرض نقص المناعة المكتسبة (الإيدز) و فيروس مرض بورنا Barna disease و فيروس أبولا و فيروسات الحمى النزفية الأخرى و فيروس الخرمة من المملكة العربية السعودية و فيروس الكبد الوبائي G و غيرها من الفيروسات الجديدة و يعزى مزيد من الاكتشافات الجديدة في حقل الفيروسات إلى التقدم العلمي خاصة في التقنيات الجزيئية.
Abstract EN
This manuscript aims to highlight a few of the new or viruses that have made "news" recently.
Of these are HIV, Hantavirus, monkeypox virus, dengue virus, influenza virus 1&5 NI, Kaposi's sarcoma associated herpes virus (KSHV), Boma disease virus, Ebola virus, other haemorrhagic fever viruses, Al-Khorrna virus, hepatitis G virus, Calicivirus gastroenteritis, Enteroviral meningitis, Bovine prions and nvCJD.
The advances in molecular techniques made it possible to detect new viruses.
The new molecular tools for the identificationof unculturable viruses are discussed.
