The prescription of oral anticoagulant or antivitamin K (AVK) , require a biologic control: a prothrombine time “PT” situated between 25and 35 % is usually request; but this isn't true today, because of different therapic ranges as consequence of the variability in responsiveness of different reactifs, moreover according to the indication of the treatments.
The conversion of "PT” in “INR "(international normalized ratio) has been introduced to standardise the “PT” used for anticoagulant control.

La prescription d'un anticoagulant oral ou antivitamine K (AvK) , nécessite une surveillance biologique: un taux de prothrombine C TP' compris entre 25 et 35% est habituellement demande.
Ceci n'est plus vrai aujourd'hui du fait des zones thérapeutiques d'hypocoagulabilité différentes selon le réactif utilise pour la détermination du temps de Quick d'une part, selon l'Indication du traitement d'autre part.
La détermination de l'INR « International Normalized Ratio " permet une standardisation de l'expression des résultats et améliore le résultat exprime en taux de prothrombine
