The effect of an organic chlorine pesticide lindane (8 hexachlorocyclohexane), on flagellar movements of rat spermatozoa wam studied.
At the dose of 1,9 x I O'4 M, lindane was found to considerably disturbe the flagellar movement, and at the dose of 3,2 x Iff4 M, it inhibit it completely.
It was also demonstrated, that the pesticide provoked a marked static curvature at the level of spermatozoa heads, and an increase in the mechanism(s) of initiation and regulation of the.
flagellar movement are still under investigation.

L'effet d'un insecticide organochloré, le lindane (8 hexachlorocyclohexane).
est étudié sur le mouvement flagellaire des spermatozoïdes de rat.
Les résultats obtenus montrent qu'à la concentration de 1.9 x 10'4 M.
le lindane perturbe le mouvement flagellaire et à la concentration de 3.2 x 10'4 M ce mouvement est complètement inhibé.
De plus, le lindane induit l’apparition d’une courbure statique importante à la base de la tête du spermatozoïde cl il augmente sensiblement Pamplitude flagellaire.
Les mécanismes d’initiation et de régulation du battement flagellaire sont actuellement à l'étude.
