Abstract EN

The effet of various element separation media on the concentration of water-treating chemicals used in waterflooding systems during crude oil production have been studied.

TCe results are discussed on the light of the nature and composition of each treating chemical.

Also, the effect of separation media on microbiocide efficiency in controlling sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB) was clarified.

It was found that mega-pure, bauxite, and kaolins are the most efficient for separation of the water treating chemicals, and Amberlite IR-120 is the least efficient for their separation.

$٠, it can be concluded thatAmberlite IR-120 is the most suitable as it does not affect, largely, the concentration of the water treating chemicals.
