Abstract EN

-The laser Raman, infrared, and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) speetra of paranitrobenzoie acid in the solid phase have been reeorded in the regions 30-400س-س,''اااء cm-1,200-4000 cm-1 respectively.

The observed frequencies have been assigned to various modes of vibrations in terms of fundamentals, overtone, and combination bands assuming Cs point group symmetry.

The normal coordinate analysis has been carried out to check the validity of the assignments.

The potential energy distribution associated with normal modes is also reported here.

The assignment of fundamental vibrations agrees with the calculated frequencies.
