Abstract EN
In [1], G.
Segal introduced the notion of support of a prime ideal P e R(T) as being a minimal subgroup A < T such that P comes from R(A).
It is (topologically) cyclic and unique up to conjugation.
This notion has been used by S.
Jackowski [2] to show a certain property of R(T) which is a key ingredient in completing equivariant K-theory rings.
We generalize the concept of support to the ideals of the equivariant K-theory ring of a T-space with base-point and extend its properties to our situation.
