-Starting from a commercial non superconducting powder, superconducting ceramics ofYDajCu^Oy.S, have been obtained by sintering in air.

The iodometric titration shows a stoechiometry (7-8) of oxygen close to 7.

The texturation factor has been estimated from X ray diffraction patterns.

The samples are naturally textured with high values of texturation factor.

Magnetic and DC susceptibility measurements reveal that even with a non negligible porosity, the samples obtained are of good quality.
