-xPh'ZrO3-yPbTi03-zPb(Fe 1/5, Nij / s, Sb3 / 3)03 piezoelectric ceramic were prepared by the conventional method of thermal synthesis of mixed-oxides, using sintering temperatures from 8500 to I200°C.

The microstructure development of PZT compositions near the morphotropic phase boundary has been investigated by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) ond X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD).

X-ray diffractometry, in conjunction with the evaluation of electromechanical properties, was used to demonstrate the co-existence of the tetragonal and rhombohedral phases.
